Gosh, um . . . The scars are super big for him. He could take or leave the ones on his hands, but he has a penchant for the one on his jaw and is sort of drawn to the one on his back. Honestly, Vincent just wants to touch Yuri's back a lot, too. So, yes . . . Also, it sort of helps Vincent in his masculine place that Yuri is not much more built-up than he is. They both are about even when it comes to body mass et al, sob.
In general, hmm . . . He does like Yuri's swagger. It's hard to describe, but it's how Yuri takes everything in with that cool demeanor, even if he doesn't necessarily feel that way. Not only does it work well with how Vincent prefers to act, but Vincent also appreciates how it is another way to work with/against people. It's a very nice little trait that he can enjoy himself or just while watching Yuri around everyone else. So, yeah, it is definitely a highlight for Vincent. Also, Vincent likes his "youth" in a way. Yuri is experienced and so on, but he still acts his age while Vincent has never really been on cue with his physical age mentally.
Back at you. Also, what is most confounding to Yuri about Vincent? Like physical or behavioral or what have you.
Like Yuri said, he loves Vincent's shoulders! He was a little embarrassed to admit it but, yes. Nice, broad shoulders. In general, he's very... taken with how Vincent is so pretty but it's a very masculine pretty. He doesn't have any particular attachment to his own masculinity--cross-dressing, whatever--but he think Vincent wears it very well.
In general, Yuri likes Vincent's sense of mastery. Like, the date thread that Vincent pulled off without a hitch. Vincent operates in society in a way Yuri himself knows he never can, but at the same time he always he master of his situation, never just playing by someone else's rules. On the opposite vein he loves when Vincent messes up--like when he accidentally abstracted the conversation, or when they had that tickle fight, or during the date thread when he made Vincent SO CRANKY.
Uh sometimes the way Vincent talks really confounds Yuri. He really had to learn his way of never quite confirming what the topic of conversation was. It also confounds him that Vincent... doesn't have a favorite food, or show a lot of personal preference. Like fine he's a private person and always in his own headspace but those are just basic human things.
Something about Yuri that confounds Vincent! Also how is Vincent about Yuri sleeping with other people? Does he get less jealous as time goes on or more?
How well adapted Yuri is, lol. To each their own, but if Vincent took stock of how he and Gil were before getting found by Jack against how Yuri seemed to be as a child . . . He was pretty well off! It even felt sort of sane to Vincent when he saw that memory. So, he doesn't know if he and Gilbert weren't equipped right, or the difference in situation didn't bode well, but he can't logically place why Yuri came out better. Not that he minds at all, it is just very confusing to him.
Sadly, the cross dressing is not confusing to him and he can get why Yuri would be alright with it, but he really doesn't get why. He doesn't want to.
Was Vincent ever jealous . . . ? Really, he doesn't mind at all. Yuri gets to flock off and have fun with other people, and Yuri is definitely more of a people person than Vincent is. If he's enjoying himself, then Vincent is right as rain with it. In a way, Vincent is more pleased that Yuri is still getting around, because it would be way more difficult to be in an accidentally monogamous relationship. In my mind, Vincent is more the type to sit back and gossip about who Yuri was with to take stock of who is around doing what. He's really casual that way.
Is Yuri bothered by Vincent being basically monogamous? Would he prefer Vincent to be sleeping around?
I REMEMBER you saying something about him being slightly jealous but squashing it down, I think. A long time ago, in any case.
Nope, he's not! He doesn't really think about it. He realizes Vincent has a much harder time, hmm... letting go? Just enjoying himself? When it comes to sex. For Yuri, sex with other people is purely for fun and maybe for bonding. Vincent is not really into either of those things. And, of course, he has experience of Vincent faking being into sex just to pacify him. He doesn't think Vincent is INCAPABLE of having casual sex just for pleasure but he thinks its pretty unlikely just given Vincent's nature. Just as you said, Vincent is less of a people person, and Yuri knows that. As for the implications on their relationship--that also doesn't bother Yuri. He's not threatened by monogamy, though it's not something he'd seek out.
As for if he would prefer it to be otherwise... not really, just because Yuri is aware of the likelihood that any such attachments would actually be 'work'. Vincent doesn't usually have fun during OTHER physical activities so there's no real reason for him to expect Vincent to have FUN sex. He would like him to have more fun, though!
I don't think I've asked in a while... how is Vincent on sex nowdays? Does he enjoy his sex life? What was the motivation for him sleeping with Ariel?
I was curious, so I looked up chat logs! Apparently, it was that time when they fooled around in the kitchen? He was being needy at the time, so that was just a flux in itself. So, it wasn't jealous, so much as . . . Wanting attention on himself and not other people, like Chariot and Elliot. NTS: Find that thread.
It's really, really awkward, um! It's hard to enjoy himself like he used to, because he's so much more bound up in watching himself as well as just knowing how communication flows through sex with them. So, it gets way more focus than it ought to . . . Also, Vincent just doesn't feel at ease. He can't get what he wants out of Yuri, nor is he certain it goes the other way around which makes everything far too complicated! Then, it starts into a circular feed where he can't relax, but he knows he ought to, but he can't take the chance—And on and on. Really, if Vincent could find someone to have violence with a side chance of sex with, he would be enjoying himself a lot more. Violence always comes closer to his core than anything else, because it's what he always jumps to first.
On sex in general, though . . . He's shifted? It's definitely different, at least. Time has helped to seal in the fact that he shouldn't behave like he used to, so it's really at his leisure. Vincent's more likely to be casual with another person than to use them when it comes to sex. Still, he's not really going to "treat himself better" even in that minor, unrelated area, so he's not going to ever push for sex as a means of fun or contact or whatever. —Haha, that one headcanon memory of Jack served as a dual-edged blade, because it did sort of connect him with a very infantile, basic desire related to sex, but it also reminded Vincent that he really has dirtied his hands way beyond help. Lol, whoops.
Sleeping with Ariel . . . Affection? Helping? It really ties up in their relationship where Vincent is something of a mentor/translator for Ariel. They don't have the same quirks at all, but he can sort of see her side of the world along with understanding where other people are coming from. So, yeah . . . She was upset at the time, so he distracted her. I mean, he knew anything emotional would have been false and untrue with him, so he tried to just . . . Talk to her a bit. It kept going on, because she kind of liked it, haha. To be fair, Vincent doesn't enjoy himself with Ariel; he is on complete auto-pilot, but he doesn't mind using what skills he has to help those he wishes to. \o/
I DON'T REMEMBER IF I ASK, but I can do it again. More words for Kristen. :U So, talk about the date and such . . . Asking for relationship is evil, isn't it? Don't care.
Well, to put it simply, C.C. does not want to be involved with Van. She knows a lot about him from Luke and her own experiences, so she could likely understand where he's coming from in places and she appreciates that . . . But she also doesn't want to sort of bother with that aspect of herself nor does she want to be drawn to either disapprove or approve of Van. If he is to exist on his own without interference from her, then the easiest action is play keep away, rather than subverting him like she does with other people.
It's also difficult, because she's struggling with wanting to protect her team while also understanding that she can't infringe her "wish" upon other people. It would limit her own team along with infringing upon Van, so she really wants to play hands off in that regard to. Complicated, complicated, but there's a lot of do-not-want smudging up any personal impression she would have formed about him.
Oh gosh urm... C.C. seemed pretty coy and aggravating when Van first met her and he responded a bit in kind. However, he...didn't want to leave with any more bridges than he had to, especially bridges to Ruby since he has ties to Tavros and is still responsible for Dawn, so he tried to fix that (and failed miserably).
Then she knew of Van and it placed all their interactions into a different light. He's fairly certain that his behavior toward him is cause she's heard of what he's done and has decided not to give him a chance. Which is rationally understandable but irrationally aggravating. She's just another example of how Aather is full of landmines for him, and how he really is...outnumbered. She's the third person he got this treatment from so he's a bit at the end of his patience with it.
CONVERSELY THOUGH the fact that she knows of him probably means he'll be approaching her again, when the time comes that he has a purpose for it. If she wants him dead and gone, then he at least knows how to handle that, so she'll be...easier to handle than when she was mostly an enigma.
She loves them all! Really, C.C. is a dere moeblob in her team's direction, because they gave her unconditional affection. While she isn't completely open or straightforward with them, she knows that she cares for them and she will show it when she chooses to. For specific relationships . . . Acedia is her weak point, and she cares a lot for him while having to try to keep distance between them. She sort of monitors him, but she doesn't try to guide him too much. He's learned a lot on his own, so he just needs encouragement, really.
Tavros is who she plays with. She tends to coddle him too, but she's a little more discrete about it. If she's going to goof off or tease someone, she will jump to him, first. She has a lot of confidence in him.
C.C. and Oz tend to conflict a lot, so she's more likely to watch herself with him. It's really hard to explain their relationship, but she doesn't care for him any less than the rest of the team, whatever trouble they may get into between them.
Dera is her secret favorite. He's rather sharp and straight-forward in ways that she can appreciate, even if she can't emulate. So, she likes to sit from afar and watch him go about his business. Dere dere dere.
Dawn is dicey . . . She prefers to go at her own speed, and he doesn't even know what car they are in, so it can always get messy between them. She appreciates that he is on the team and able to complete the circle, so to speak, but she watches herself with him, too. Also, she's more likely to push him off a roof than anyone else. C.C. is affectionate like that.
Responsible for Dawn, eh? What's Van's feelings on that? On himself?
Figuring things out! She's watching her actions and words, so she is sort of guarding herself, rather she is guarding others from herself. At the same time, she is sort of slowly feeling out what she did want at one time, friends, and is taking the tiniest steps in that direction . . . Mostly at Acedia, h-haha. It's a very cautious and careful place, but she isn't uncomfortable with it and it seems to be doing what she wants it to.
Also, she got chocolate for Acedia from the most recent game. Get some. And I dropped that thread, but you should hit me up when you're up for one.
Re . . . Lationship? Also, how much of Fate/Stuff have you watched?
CC IS GREAT? HE LOEV CC??? Not complicated feelings really because even when he feels like he's SHAAAAMMMEEEDDD in front of her it doesn't change his views so much as like (unsure) oops my bad.
I. I've watched it all ... well no I didn't watch the anime adaptation of the f/sn VN but I read the VN. But. I. I'm a Fate/monster ... ... ...
Oh, I think I started that . . . Then, my attention went somewhere else. TYPICAL.
Vincent is terribly fond of Three and always has been! I mean, his first game was that subverted-killing-flower game, and he liked the ideas put forth in the game a lot. So, he never really minded her, except where she was also the most likely to get Gilbert killed . . . So, he had that bone to pick with her, but they straightened that right out. Kind of funny that Three has never been responsible for any death on Gil's part as far as Vincent knows, haha. Anyway, he feels rather bad about being so hasty to lay waste to her, but she is still charming even at half-mast, too . . .
It's less of a mental game where he has grounded reasons, really. He just has always had this innate draw and fascination with her, because they sort of resonate on topics . . . Well, they seem to, though Vincent realizes that he knows very little of her now. Not that he wouldn't mind changing that. :x
Obsidian is an emotional creature with a different breed of logic. He's fiercely loyal and should be treated in a special manner.
Jaina is headstrong and determined, but not without the means to bend. She's come a long way in dealing with people and is definitely a voice of reason within the team.
Neji is the second, but strongest, voice of absolute reason that isn't tied with emotions. He keeps to himself and is best left that way.
Spitfire doesn't think before he speaks, but he can charm people with his outgoing personality.
Hibari is an animal and should be given no regard.
Kyouko is a conflicted girl who desires good but ends up struggling in less than approved ways with the world. Her words rarely say what she means.
I mean, in all honesty, Vincent hasn't changed his regard of the individuals too much, but he has gotten comfortable with them and their dynamic as a whole. They have a rhythm and balance of their own, which may cause conflicts between them, but it's better than having no steadying force and constantly shutting down on each other. Really, he's rather fond of Iolite as a pacifying force in his life.
What is Jaina's hopes for the team nowadays? What does she want and what could she do without?
That's been pertinent to several of her interactions lately. While she spends a great deal of time with Tiger's Eye and agreed with Spitfire recently that she's jealous of their unity, she's also acknowledged to Neji that it's impossible for Iolite to turn out that way -- and actually she doesn't want that for Iolite.
She basically wants the team to more prone to reason, less prone to an apparent tendency to turn on itself over issues that the others couldn't be aware was an issue because the team fails at communication. Friends or family? Heck no. But as much as she bitches about the inefficiency of debate scenes for how the Jedi should act on an issue, she thinks it would work for Iolite. Surely they could come to good reasonable conclusions! And less arbitrarily...dangerous. She can handle doing some horrible things to people if it can be justified. The tendency to stand aside and watch in-team conflicts play out instead of trying to alleviate problems boggles her as well -- she could understand not being interested in non-Iolite problems, but this strikes her as unfortunate.
I guess the sudden danger is the primary thing that she could do without. Most days, she finds her own team a greater danger than anyone else in aather. It's especially concerning to her that they tend to turn on each other during games, which to her should logically be when the team should come together over a common goal.
Does Vincent have any particular goals right now? Projects? Miscellaneous things he's just interested in? XD
Well, he needs to find Three's head . . . It's part of his ongoing quest to erase himself, but that has been slow brewing for a long, long time. He also has to take another dive into Three's heart that he is less than pumped for. I mean, he loves the scenery, but he's at the point where he'd rather not mess with her and he doesn't know how to fix . . . 8|
Another project would be getting Flynn to take Yuri off his hands. He is sort of wobbling on this, but it was in his intention to get his hands free and Yuri at a better place that wasn't with him for this. However, considering Yuri is going to end up missing about eighty percent of his memories in Aather if Vincent is successful with his former plan . . . He is okay with letting Yuri hang around, so idk my bff Vincent.
Also, he is mediating the fight between Obsidian and Kyouko. Rather, he knows Kyouko was off her mark, so he's dealing with that. Then, he doesn't like the idea of Obsidian gaining autonomy or, at least, the means of going against what he wants to do. He understands Obsidian's reasons, but he also wants him to be okay with the team being a little nuthouse and these incidents sort of . . . Happening. It's in his best interest. :x
He's flipping around the bible, because Kyouko said he should read. And that is a laugh a minute, too.
Back at you! How does Jaina feel about the brother situation now? More or less resolved, different plan?
As far as projects, Jaina's abandoning the idea of the roof modification because...it was always just an unnecessary comfort project and she doesn't really care anymore...so instead she's working on designs to see if she can make a low-tech dishwasher.
Regarding the brother situation, she's moooostly in the same place as before. She remembers that she's failed to kill him, so she's more certain that if Jacen comes back in aather they'll inevitably end up in conflict and that she'll be outmatched. She's working on finally getting her own weapons now, but her current plan is tiptoe around the issue and wait to act until he shows some sign that he knows she tried to kill him. Because she assumes if they do come to blows, she'll need to strike first or lose.
