Well, to put it simply, C.C. does not want to be involved with Van. She knows a lot about him from Luke and her own experiences, so she could likely understand where he's coming from in places and she appreciates that . . . But she also doesn't want to sort of bother with that aspect of herself nor does she want to be drawn to either disapprove or approve of Van. If he is to exist on his own without interference from her, then the easiest action is play keep away, rather than subverting him like she does with other people.
It's also difficult, because she's struggling with wanting to protect her team while also understanding that she can't infringe her "wish" upon other people. It would limit her own team along with infringing upon Van, so she really wants to play hands off in that regard to. Complicated, complicated, but there's a lot of do-not-want smudging up any personal impression she would have formed about him.
Oh gosh urm... C.C. seemed pretty coy and aggravating when Van first met her and he responded a bit in kind. However, he...didn't want to leave with any more bridges than he had to, especially bridges to Ruby since he has ties to Tavros and is still responsible for Dawn, so he tried to fix that (and failed miserably).
Then she knew of Van and it placed all their interactions into a different light. He's fairly certain that his behavior toward him is cause she's heard of what he's done and has decided not to give him a chance. Which is rationally understandable but irrationally aggravating. She's just another example of how Aather is full of landmines for him, and how he really is...outnumbered. She's the third person he got this treatment from so he's a bit at the end of his patience with it.
CONVERSELY THOUGH the fact that she knows of him probably means he'll be approaching her again, when the time comes that he has a purpose for it. If she wants him dead and gone, then he at least knows how to handle that, so she'll be...easier to handle than when she was mostly an enigma.
She loves them all! Really, C.C. is a dere moeblob in her team's direction, because they gave her unconditional affection. While she isn't completely open or straightforward with them, she knows that she cares for them and she will show it when she chooses to. For specific relationships . . . Acedia is her weak point, and she cares a lot for him while having to try to keep distance between them. She sort of monitors him, but she doesn't try to guide him too much. He's learned a lot on his own, so he just needs encouragement, really.
Tavros is who she plays with. She tends to coddle him too, but she's a little more discrete about it. If she's going to goof off or tease someone, she will jump to him, first. She has a lot of confidence in him.
C.C. and Oz tend to conflict a lot, so she's more likely to watch herself with him. It's really hard to explain their relationship, but she doesn't care for him any less than the rest of the team, whatever trouble they may get into between them.
Dera is her secret favorite. He's rather sharp and straight-forward in ways that she can appreciate, even if she can't emulate. So, she likes to sit from afar and watch him go about his business. Dere dere dere.
Dawn is dicey . . . She prefers to go at her own speed, and he doesn't even know what car they are in, so it can always get messy between them. She appreciates that he is on the team and able to complete the circle, so to speak, but she watches herself with him, too. Also, she's more likely to push him off a roof than anyone else. C.C. is affectionate like that.
Responsible for Dawn, eh? What's Van's feelings on that? On himself?

How does C.C. feel about the rest of Ruby?
