shameless? sure.

Whatever, whatever. I didn't do one last month, and AJ said to. So, question meme for Vincent and CC. That is an awesome color scheme.

Raven liked CC! He doesn't really know any of the Geass cast, so while he obviously got the idea that THINGS were going on he had like zero idea what those were. Obviously Suzaku thought there was something important to deal with, but even apart from her request he doesn't really think wringing anything out of someone who's just fallen through the ring is productive or a good idea. So he has a vaguely protective and positive impression of her - she reminds him a bit of Ferris, he likes people who will tell him what to do (...), and obviously she is pretty!

Raven does not get Vincent at all. At all. Like he seriously has approximately zero sense of his personality, and he comes away from every one of their interactions going ???. I suppose they've still only had like... four or five threads, pretty much every one of which was whiplash. Knowing that he's involved with Yuri is only exacerbating this issue, because whatever Raven's mental image of what "someone immensely important to Yuri" should be is, Vincent is not it. ...Actually upon reflection that image is probably Estelle, so I guess that makes sense.

ANYWAY he also really doesn't understand Vincent's lack of jealousy when it comes to him. Because Raven is definitely jealous, and while he does not want to be, he really can't imagine just not feeling that way in the first place. He is trying to stop, though, that is why he approached Vincent to apologize and try to talk to him more. Because Vincent is someone really important to Yuri, regardless of what Raven thinks. And if Raven is going to stay involved with Yuri in any capacity, which is apparently unavoidable, he should try to get along with him. :x Clearly this will go well.

Tell me things you like about CC! I am canonblind for Geass.

RAVEN DOES NOT REALLY HAVE AN AGENDA. He is generally not very good at agendas. He was doing better for a little while but he's been super depressed for the past few weeks so there hasn't been much. Though he's actually been returning to... well, his normal, mostly functional level of depression... over the past couple of days, so he's starting to pick back up a bit. Some plans:

Yuri:
- DON'T HAVE SEX WITH HIM. PROBABLY.
- Talk to him more about actual things.

His team:
- He generally doesn't feel like his team needs him for much. :T They are very stable, overall.
- He has been vaguely tossing around the idea of redoing their beds again, though, because bunk beds are a little suboptimal when they have plenty of space now and lots of people sleeping over. And that seems to be a better way of approaching the fact that lots of people are sleeping over than being jealous.

His guild:
- HE IS SORT OF AT A LOSS WITH JUDITH GONE, since that means that he can't even pretend that he's not the one responsible. He's talked to a few people about it and he's going to at least try to keep it up, though. But he hasn't thought of anything in specific to do yet.

Um I think that's all he's got on his mind. He's still not thinking very far out as far as Aather and the future in general. He does still have some personal stuff to work on—in particular he could definitely use to talk to both Misato and Beatrice in actual real world land and not dreamland—but that is at least... not in immediate crisis mode for the moment. Which is a nice change.

Any particular plans for CC? Any sorts of games you're looking forward to playing her in?

Haha~ My intention has always been to fill her with dere and love, then have her remember how godawful her life was. Where she ends up in the end is far too distant to imagine, but I get the feeling that Aather might not be a bad place for her to set up camp, if just for a long while.

As for games, she is really flexible. I would probably enjoy her in trauma and dress-up games the most, because she can really pander and do whatever anyone wants to when it comes to getting done up whereas she is overly-qualified to deal with matters of death and the like.

Why did Raven start the guild? What does he feel about it now?
telltaleheart: (to shake me from complacency)

The guild came out of the team representative meeting after Mitchell killed Mal! Raven missed most of that drama due to hiatus, but he went to the meeting, not really because he wanted to represent his team but because he was very Not Impressed with Mitchell's attitude and wanted to make sure he was not a douche. He doesn't actually think trying to make the teams work together and have representatives and make overarching rules is ever going to work (which seemed to be the consensus in general so it wasn't a very useful meeting). But he ended up talking there about the concept of guilds with Sharon, and she was fairly approving of the idea, so he basically talked himself into organizing one despite the fact that he wouldn't ever have done it of his own initiative.

SO HE WENT TO TALK TO JUDITH ABOUT IT, because Judith remembered joining Brave Vesperia and would best know the sort of thing he was thinking about! And because he trusted her and wanted to work with her. And on a more calculating level having Raven and Judith start the guild together seemed like a pretty good political move, since the initial conflict that started everything was between Tiger's Eye and Sapphire. Judith agreed to the idea, and they came up with laws and a name.

Basically the goal was to introduce a very basic sort of law without it being some sort of large-scale "these are the rules of how we do it and everyone must follow them" - instead it's just a small group of people who have agreed to them voluntarily. Obviously that's less helpful than having everyone agree to them, but he figures having everyone agree is impossible and it's better than having no agreement at all. In addition it gives a sort of formal support network for people besides their teams, since being on a team is not voluntary and people might not always want to or be able to rely only on them.

AS FOR HIS FEELINGS AT THIS PARTICULAR MOMENT, that is all still... more or less true. But he feels like a lot of people have gotten ideas about the guild that he is not going to be able to fulfill. The last time he did guild stuff people were really excited about it and he felt like he spent half the time going "augh, no, no seriously, it's not that big a deal." Raven can work out contained conflicts and complete particular tasks and mentor people on an individual level, but he does not deal well with large-scale responsibility or goals! When confronted with them he is more likely to say "whoops, you got the wrong guy" and go fuck off or drink himself into a stupor or something. Unless someone pretty much forces him to deal with it. :'D So at the moment he is wrestling with that! He needs to either ground himself/everyone again in something really specific that the guild can accomplish (maybe come up with a mundane group quest or something) or convince himself to step up and be the leader people appear to want. The former is a lot more likely to happen than the latter.

What's on Vincent's plate at the moment? HAS SOMEONE ELSE ASKED THIS, I didn't see it.
telltaleheart: (all your trying)

Raven is very capable of political moves! He deals with inter-guild politics all the time back home, really, and is presumably aware of all the stuff going on in the Empire too. He just doesn't like to admit he's any good at it or do it of his own initiative. But he will do it if it's for someone else or if he feels it's necessary. :|b

Anyway. Raven definitely plans to keep talking to Vincent! He might come visit Iolite in general sometime, because he knows pretty much everyone at this point. But he's not really going to try to... like Vincent, particularly. And he's not going to try to win Vincent over, since that is not at all his style. Basically he just wants to a) understand Vincent better, mostly because that's important to understanding Yuri, and b) establish a functional working relationship so he doesn't have to avoid even interacting with Vincent, because that's both stupid and untenable. Goals like "be friends" or "stop being jealous" are a little beyond him at this point. |D He is not that much of a selfless Tales hero.

He is also aware he has a lot of... honesty damage control... to do at the moment, since he's very emotionally vulnerable due to having broken down and yelled all his feelings at Yuri in front of Vincent. So he will probably be staying in full walls-up Raven-persona mode with Vincent as much as he can. LIKE EARLY-GAME RAVEN, being really deliberately obvious and ridiculous about certain things in order to obscure the more important things. :|a

You said that Vincent almost wants to encourage Raven in whatever he's trying to get at with Yuri... What does Vincent think that is, at this point?
