No, it wasn't. :T I think that's the main thing that's happened since the last time you gave me an update (unless Sasuke bleeding brocon all over Vincent while in Ferris' body effects his opinion of Itachi). I've been meaning to tag you again and failing. '^'
Without reviewing the thread . . . She definitely doesn't like him! It's not a dislike breed of hate or anything like that, though. She finds him just to be an irritating man, especially with saying that she and Lelouch are alike. Granted, they do compliment each other, but she is so much better than him as he is in love with his sister and is easily topped. Given time, they will probably work well together for goading each other onto abusing Lelouch or she could potentially get jealous of him hogging her silly noodle.
YOU TOP LULU. YOU GET AUTOMATIC LOVE. Which means he'll bother her more often. HE SRSLY THINKS THEY'RE BOTH VERY SIMILAR, it's funny and he likes it 8DDD. Souya is a simple guy.
Um, she's completely smitten with them. They are all adorable, dumb boys that will bend over backwards to get her clothes and pizza and anything else she could possibly want. The light tsundere flavor is just her style too, since she would be overwhelmed and feel trapped by someone really liking her without any reservations at this point. They don't push her at all, and she's willing to run with whatever they're doing in response. So, it's a pretty damn sweet set-up, all in all. Also, I find it hilarious that she's on the team full of gay and/or monogamous boys plus Michael who wouldn't touch boobs if his life depended on it. It's the perfect set-up for her to be the hot girl of the team without any problems whatsoever.
Fon should meet CC because he has the crazy overlord thing going for him.
UUUH. HE GOT HIS CRAZY BACK, which makes him more likely to withdraw, but since he is so much friendlier as "Sky" than he was as Fon he hasn't gone full tsundere and probably won't. He loves Amethyst a lot A LOOOOT and after the green knight game he is like 500% dere for them. He is in a better place then he had been siiince before the crazy, and the crazy actually gives him focus so he'll try to talk to people and try talking them into breaking the games.
Oh, yeah, that . . . Brocon . . . Um, well, the kiss was honestly Vincent being a dick in his own usual way. He wasn't necessarily lying when he said the motive was to help Itachi win the game, since he clearly was pushing himself for that reason, if not just to prove that he could deal with Vincent. Either way, it was upping the ante between them and Vincent was not disappointed by his reaction at all. ♥
Frankly, since I probably haven't said it anywhere else, but Vincent does appreciate what a great and wonderful relationship Itachi and Sasuke have in Aather now. Coming from the point where he does understand what it was like before, he can understand why they want to try to preserve that relationship as much as possible. So, Vincent does honestly wish them the best in their efforts in his own way and is not . . . Actively trying to dick around with the relationship between them, just tugging wherever interests him most with them individually which keeps bleeding onto the other. Lol, whoops, Itachi and Sasuke are co-dependent! Who'd have guessed? On the flip side, Vincent is really interested to see how the whole affair plays out between them. He knows what happened between them won't be pushed down and be settled simply by them cuddling up to each other every waking moment as much as they may wish it did. The same way that Vincent enjoys picking apart and breaking down the people he views as "heroes," he may come to push at sibling bonds, especially one like Itachi and Sasuke that mirrors pretty well with his own. Though, the off-chance of getting murdered by both of them for his dickery will keep that at bay for awhile . . . Yyyeah.
SO, ABOUT THAT BROCON! Does Itachi have any idea how deep Sasuke is in it? What are his feelings towards his brother in that avenue?
No complaints from CC! He did what she asked without asking why which was just her style. She didn't really except him to be able to throw Suzaku, but she definitely took away something nice from that interaction and her bonding with Ferris later. CC will probably warm up to him later since she was busy dealing with this, that, and the other thing when she arrived.
Vincent is . . . Well, Vincent is a troll. He can appreciate that Raven is more than he makes himself out to be which is a definite plus. It wouldn't be interesting, otherwise. ♥ Vincent also really appreciated that Raven knew to keep everything on the level, rather than reacting to what could have been a bad situation. It wasn't how Vincent would have liked to handle that situation, and he's never touching something like it again, but Raven was a good sport about everything. Still, he can't quite get over how off the mark Raven was with Yuri, in Vincent's mind at least, so he can't help wanting to pity him almost. It's not Vincent's way to be threatened by other people when it comes to Yuri, but he really almost wants to encourage Raven and whatever he's trying to get at, just to sadistically enjoy Yuri being pushed . . . Except Yuri never responds to situations the way Vincent would like him to, but he can keep hoping that someone else will have better luck.
As far as I can recall, the two games of note were the party game and the one wherein Vincent flipped a table. To tell you the truth, Vincent had no intention of even trying to win until Neji told him that he expected Vincent to win it for them in not so many words. Then, he was like Oh, well, if Neji wants me to do this, then I could be a sport, I suppose~. So, enjoy your gold star there. Vincent really does enjoy their functional relationship and is willing to actually upkeep on it.
On the flipside, Neji sure did fuck him over in the other game. Vincent counted on him to be on his side of the board, especially after Beauty's event, but Neji said what he said without being pushed to it at all. Granted, Vincent has been out of the loop on the team and prefers it that way, but he did not realize that they were a team that would do that sort of thing ever . . . Until they were. If it happens again, he will shoot them without any hesitation. As it is, Elliot ruined team-dere like I said, so he's probably even more sore at Neji about that whole event, since he was supposed to align with Vincent not with the bleeding hearts. Grow a pair, ninja.
Neji's decision actually had less to do with the team and more to do with the lion. Neji thinks the lion is kind of interesting, and their short conversation before and then him running a game had Neji in a kind of weird headspace. Just... for where that came from.
And relevant to that, Neji sort of sees that that's not a thing that's ever happening again and that he owes Vincent one for it. :T He actually liked Vincent's tableflip, in a weird, weird way. Teamdere would be a strong term for it, but like... Vincent sure did do that. And it was interesting. And they won.
But, yeah, if Vincent ever cryptically brings it up again, Neji would admit that he's in Vincent's debt for that.
Not...entirely. I think Sasuke is something of a blind spot for Itachi because Itachi loves him so much. It's not always easy for him to see him objectively, and as such he's not always aware of Sasuke's feelings for him. In canon, one of his most emotionally honest moments is him talking to Sasuke not long before things go to hell and essentially saying that he understands that Sasuke resents him and that's okay because ninjas are meant to be hated and he'll always be there for him, anyway, even if it's just as an obstacle. And Sasuke spends the conversation totally confused and dismayed. So it's like, gj, missing how much your little brother adores you, Itachi. Not that he was totally unaware that his brother admired him but he just seemed much more aware of the negative side of Sasuke's feelings rather than how much Sasuke loved him. Though that is probably also related to Itachi resigning himself to being hated, but it's still a clear misinterpretation of Sasuke's feelings for him.
So anyway, in Aather! He's more aware and accepting of the fact that Sasuke cares for him and worries about him. And he understands that Sasuke is very attached to him right now and that he's...kind of attracted to him. But! Itachi isn't sure it's not just a phase brought on by the trauma of certain memories and recent events in Aather. He thinks there's a good chance Sasuke will eventually move on once he's moved past the trauma, and Itachi does try to subtly encourage Sasuke to not cut people like Naruto and Sakura out of his life because he does not actually see himself as being very good for Sasuke overall. But he's very aware that his betrayal and manipulation and abandonment of Sasuke is why he's so messed up now, so he is pretty determined to be there for him in whatever way he needs for as long as he needs it. So he's not going to do push him away "for his own good" or anything because he thinks that's a conclusion Sasuke needs to come to himself. And he's pretty sure he'll come to it eventually.
So, no, he does not totally understand how deep Sasuke is in it. :x His own feelings are complicated and not as dissimilar as he might like to claim. He is building his life around Sasuke in a lot of ways and is pretty preoccupied with him and being there for him and things like that can complicate feelings in unhealthy ways, especially when coupled with the stress and trauma games can cause. But Itachi is very good at ignoring his feelings and focusing on what the bigger priority is. And Sasuke is always the bigger priority. So he's much more focused on his brother than himself right now.
Raven liked CC! He doesn't really know any of the Geass cast, so while he obviously got the idea that THINGS were going on he had like zero idea what those were. Obviously Suzaku thought there was something important to deal with, but even apart from her request he doesn't really think wringing anything out of someone who's just fallen through the ring is productive or a good idea. So he has a vaguely protective and positive impression of her - she reminds him a bit of Ferris, he likes people who will tell him what to do (...), and obviously she is pretty!
Raven does not get Vincent at all. At all. Like he seriously has approximately zero sense of his personality, and he comes away from every one of their interactions going ???. I suppose they've still only had like... four or five threads, pretty much every one of which was whiplash. Knowing that he's involved with Yuri is only exacerbating this issue, because whatever Raven's mental image of what "someone immensely important to Yuri" should be is, Vincent is not it. ...Actually upon reflection that image is probably Estelle, so I guess that makes sense.
ANYWAY he also really doesn't understand Vincent's lack of jealousy when it comes to him. Because Raven is definitely jealous, and while he does not want to be, he really can't imagine just not feeling that way in the first place. He is trying to stop, though, that is why he approached Vincent to apologize and try to talk to him more. Because Vincent is someone really important to Yuri, regardless of what Raven thinks. And if Raven is going to stay involved with Yuri in any capacity, which is apparently unavoidable, he should try to get along with him. :x Clearly this will go well.
Tell me things you like about CC! I am canonblind for Geass.
That was really rather . . . Well, yes, Vincent wasn't prepared in the least for that, much less with Sasuke saying it in a girl's body. It was complete cognitive dissonance, and he didn't expect for Sasuke to actually have the ability to grasp on to it as being love like he did. It was so off the grid for what Vincent knows and expects of Sasuke that he cut the conversation short to give himself time to think over the whole matter.
So, I will just run through those mental processes here, go you. Really, Vincent knows that he should have next to no hand in what happens between Itachi and Sasuke. They are both mistrusting of him to a ridiculous degree, so he knows better than to touch it at all if they were actually going somewhere with that. It would neither harm nor benefit him if they did, so he isn't really looking to mess around with that in the least, not like how he has pushed certain relationships around Aather.
—Actually, on that note! Vincent is really surprised that Itachi hasn't shared his insight with Sasuke, since Sasuke has been missing out on the point as it were for awhile now. Sasuke is a dangerous piece in that he knows what is going on with Vincent and if he could connect the dots, he could actually parse out Vincent's rationale and plans, but . . . Well, it's Sasuke, and Vincent has realized his shortcomings. Still, with Itachi in the mix, it's a bit confusing where that is going. Hmm, hmm, brothers . . .
Back on topic, Vincent will deal with the matter if Sasuke actually wanted some advice on it. It would be a hilarious throwback to the beginning of their relationship, and he wouldn't mind having something of an in with Sasuke again, though he would be infinitely more guarded with what he doles out. Still, Vincent knows that Sasuke has nowhere else to go with that kind of feeling, and he screwed himself over by saying it out loud . . . So, he will profit when and where he can. ♥
Wow, I am just going to write you everything. Enjoy that.
★ At the very beginning of the thread, Vincent was playing with a lighter. It was Gilbert's lighter, for the record. So, if you thought that I didn't sneak any brocon in at all . . . Well, silly you~.
★ Alright, dreams and mental landscape and all that is a very hilarious thing for Vincent. He has picked up and practiced working with that whole area since the very first heart game, so he has been at it for nearly two IC months. Even within his own mind, he is a fortress, so he can't tap in and tap out of his thoughts anymore. He's always running something in his head. It popped up in his heart game like I said, but after the first dream post where he was having a rather, mm, benign dream that Sasuke and Yuri showed up in . . . Well, he's stopped dreaming, per se. It's something like a cross between lucid dreaming, having a mental block on REM sleep, and letting Dormouse act like a sleep aid.
This isn't to say that he doesn't get lost or has full mastery of dreams yet. It's still an odd territory that he hasn't quite felt out, so he will slip a lot, like the bleeding ballroom, slipping into dream-logic without question, and the umbrellas that showed up. So, the dream threads really do run an almost Inception-logic where Vincent will have multiple personas and/or motives running at once that he has to try to focus on if he doesn't lay back and let them roll with it.
★ That said, he did appreciate getting a peek at Yuri in a more exposed form from his teenage years. ♥ It definitely gives a little insight to what Yuri wants and the act that he does put on. It's still somewhat like water, in that he can't quite get a hold on it, but Vincent can see the whole picture a little better. Remember, Vincent can't piss him off as much as he may try, so Yuri still has a fair bit of ground to stand on when it comes to Vincent.
However, the opera scene was . . . It was unplanned. It was a huge slip-up, and Vincent was more shocked that he did not keep control of himself, more than he was upset that Yuri saw something like that. Vincent is always waiting for the other shoe to drop with them, and he knows that to an extent Yuri should be pretty well aware that Vincent was never ever a good guy. It may have been a bit more graphic and less sophisticated than Vincent would prefer to share as those sorts of liaisons . . . Well, they weren't for anyone to know about to begin with. Still, Vincent has been ultra-focused on keeping people from prying into him in any form, emotionally, in his dreams, and even in his heart. So, that was really an uncool situation with the potential to go even worse! Oh, no!
Except Yuri was a good sport about the whole situation, and Vincent was more worked up than even he realized with how Yuri would react to it. See, Vincent may play cool that he can walk and not feel it, but Vincent also cuts off people's heads then realizes afterwards that he's upset because someone he loved died. This boy is not so good with his feelings! Time and again, Yuri has made it very clear where he stands on the issue, so Vincent will just . . . Keep letting him steam-roll his way along. He won't let him stop from indulging himself, believing what he'd like, and keep stringing Yuri along for this really horrible ride.
YEAH. Sasuke has no one to talk about it. It's one thing to admit all to the things he's done for revenge and another thing is to actually talk about being attracted to the brother that fucked up his life and not wanting to be with anybody else but him. He is actually very careful when he's around Emerald, and he tries to kill his feelings/thoughts near Itachi's teammates. Especially KK. He doesn't want others to know because it's none of their damn business.
SO. VINCENT. Sasuke made that connection mostly because the way Vincent was talking and the fact he said they shared that much in common made him realize pretty fast that Vincent actually was going through the same thing. And he knows he's sexually involved with Yuri because that might be hard to ignore and the like, it sort of bothered him. Sasuke isn't very sexual and the reason he was originally attracted to Vincent was because Vincent reminded him of Itachi (not Stealth), so he doesn't get it. Sasuke can put priorities to his feelings now and he can handle them better, so even if he also feels attraction to Naruto right now, he won't do anything because he doesn't want to want him. He decided to stay with his brother forever. Something would have to change for that to ever happen. Vincent is a different story, but Itachi actually told him to cut ties with him a while back so it's. complicated. Because they promised to be honest with each other and they are, but if Vincent pushed Sasuke wouldn't probably stop him at first or at all mostly because of the reason he feels attracted to him.
In general, he is maybe . . . seeing Vincent more as someone he could actually trust in some way even if he knows it's a terrible idea in theory? He still feels at a disadvantage with him and he can't entirely trust him because Vincent lied to him about something he didn't expect him too, so that pissed him off. And then he kissed Itachi!!! So yeah. But the fact he has no one else to talk to about this is what will make him want to approach him soon.
. . . I hope that made a bit of sense, i'm too sick to think.
SO WOULD YOU BE UP TO LISTEN TO MY PROBLEMS, VINCENT.
Yeah, see, I got asked that in the last one I did, then I ended up apping her. So, I'm going to tactfully avoid that question, thank you very much.
I will say that I would like to good end Marie someday, but I feel like if I take too long then there would be no point in bringing her back. So, I will probably sit around with indecision forever. Also, fuck having three, and I really cannot drop either Vincent nor CC at any point in the foreseeable future, whoops.
Back at you! I feel like you would be itching for someone.
You should always tag me, so that would be a yes! I can't quite predict how CC would roll with Neji, though . . . She's very much a character unto herself, but he can also work with Vincent pretty well, so he may appreciate the lower difficulty setting with her. Who knows! Magic could happen!
What does Neji think of the new kid? The team if there's anything of note?
I'm not, SHOCKINGLY! It's a great feeling. I am going to app a dead guy into Aviy's game eventually, but I am super zen with my line-up. I am back into the camp train and have been playing a lot there (PETER BISHOOOOP) so I figure it'll be at least a few months before I start wanting a new character.
