Neji's decision actually had less to do with the team and more to do with the lion. Neji thinks the lion is kind of interesting, and their short conversation before and then him running a game had Neji in a kind of weird headspace. Just... for where that came from.
And relevant to that, Neji sort of sees that that's not a thing that's ever happening again and that he owes Vincent one for it. :T He actually liked Vincent's tableflip, in a weird, weird way. Teamdere would be a strong term for it, but like... Vincent sure did do that. And it was interesting. And they won.
But, yeah, if Vincent ever cryptically brings it up again, Neji would admit that he's in Vincent's debt for that.
You should always tag me, so that would be a yes! I can't quite predict how CC would roll with Neji, though . . . She's very much a character unto herself, but he can also work with Vincent pretty well, so he may appreciate the lower difficulty setting with her. Who knows! Magic could happen!
What does Neji think of the new kid? The team if there's anything of note?
Other than Hibari, nothing much new with the game. Spitfire's reaction afterward is probably reinforcing Neji's opinion that he can't be trusted to handle anything potentially traumatic or morally/psychologically challenging. But that's not exactly new. More like, oh, this again.
Hibari... I need to thread with more, but so far, Neji doesn't have a problem with him. He likes winning. He's kind of an asshole. He'd rather get eaten by monsters than work with the team. Eh, Neji can deal with that. For the most part, as long as he gets things together well enough for games and not to get himself killed, Neji is willing to give him distance and roll with it.
If he tries to punch Neji in the knee, though, he's in for a beating. :T
Hmm, the team is still settled in Vincent's mind . . . But he doesn't like the directions they seem to be growing in. He may poke his head in to put them on what he thinks of as the right track. That is, the track where their interests align with his and don't run the risk of getting mauled or shot to death. Vincent would prefer for everything to run smoothly and for the idea of a democracy to in everyone's mind, but he will change their opinion of that very quickly if they gravitate too far from a team that he can align himself with. Really, I sincerely doubt it will come to that, though.
As for Hibari . . . Well, he suits Vincent's needs nicely! He needed another crazy person to replace the dear, rabid girl that they lost, so he is perfectly A-OK with the substitution made there. He also enjoys that Hibari will be more aggressive in not following the pact which evens the numbers out between them very nicely. Otherwise, they are functional with each other, less functional than Neji and Vincent, but that is a real working class relationship.
What's Neji up to these days besides training himself stupid?
And lying to Sasuke about what he remembers. Sasuke brought up that he'd probably remember negative things about him right after Neji had two memories showing him that there's an execution order on Sasuke, and that he and some other kids from the village basically got together to tell Sakura that if she and Naruto couldn't deal with that, they would. Followed by getting :/ at Naruto about Naruto saying he'd be the one to deal with Sasuke.
So Neji told Sasuke he hasn't remembered him yet. (Which is technically true! Sasuke hasn't been in any of his memories.) And was generally cagey about things. And Sasuke doesn't seem to trust him, but whatever. Like Neji's going to admit he's agreed to killing Sasuke. That would go over spectacularly with Sakura and Naruto, not to mention Itachi. So... that's actually sort of interesting.
And Zero judged Neji's choices, since Neji admitted to him that he still keeps most of his memories to himself. Even if they're important. Otherwise, I guess I need to get Neji out more.
It's cool. You can sit on it until you think up something or whatever. Also, I feel like . . . We should have a ninja conference. And by ninja conference, I mean that Neji fills Vincent in on some more of the backstory.
Neji might when he finds out more of the details. He's sort of in a position where he knows the outcome of THINGS, but doesn't know what led to them. So at the moment, he's sitting on a fair amount of information until he's got a better idea what to do with it.

Should I tag CC sometime? XD
