My memory is bad, so I'll be brief, but . . . Vincent really does have a completely new appreciation for Echo. She is so easily led around and so on that while Vincent understands why he used her before, he really, really doesn't understand why he needed her, specifically. Even with the Zwei reveal, he could have had someone else serving at his side while still keeping her in the wings, but . . . C'est la vie. He enjoys getting a second chance at it, though he would really rather be much, much worse to her than he ever has been in Aather. Someday, someday. ♥
Since her last two memories (both of which were, oddly enough, side-canon ones, ie the Black Widow short story and the drama cd), Echo has learned that Vincent is REALLY protective of Gilbert. Like, overly concerned with him and his life. It's kind of weirding her out. Echo realizes that this obsession with Gil doesn't seem to affect her in Aather, at least, no where as much as it did in her memories (she quickly picked up that if anything happened to Gilbert, Vincent ended up in a bad mood, and that in turn affected Echo...). Echo has also come to realize that most of her servant work is kidnapping and spying and delivering things to Gilbert. Not entirely what she was expecting!
Vincent confuses Echo. That's mostly it. As of late she hasn't thought much of him since her recent memories have been fairly Oz-centric. Vincent IS a strange master, but he has been providing her with some guidance/advice/whathaveyou throughout her stay in Aather, some of it she wished she followed sooner before temporarily ruining her thing with her team. Ssso, he seems... nice. Maybe too nice. Like, occasionally creepy nice, now that she thinks of how much he must think of his brother.
ZWEI... Echo doesn't really want to think about Zwei.
1) Taking the memory confused her, what the hell was going on there. 2) The memory itself was full of FEAR and OHGODNO feelings, and that was pretty disconcerting. 3) She definitely seemed to fear Zwei in that memory! She was helpless and freaked out, and that made Echo very... concerned.
Echo's just not fond of this "SOMEONE ELSE USED TO SHARE MY BODY WITH ME AND THEY WERE PRETTY DAMN TERRIFYING FOR SOME REASON?" thing. Echo's following Vincent's advice--not worrying about it since she's fine right now, and just ignoring all of it. She's also quietly hoping it doesn't become a thing. :|d
What does Vincent think of Zwei? Does he think he'll ever have any plans with her?
Vincent sees Zwei as a tool in as far as I can tell. Mind, she is an easy one to manipulate and kind of charmingly off-kilter, so it's sort of like having a ferocious tiny dog that attacks everyone else but turns into a puddle for its master . . . And that's alright by him! She doesn't take a lot out of him to use, whereas other people expect him to fake emotional competency and concern to a far greater level. Also, she really is crazy which is really, really cute to him, seriously. He can see where it would be frustrating in some cases, even though he hasn't remembered it, like that time she went and used Gilbert to try to kill Oz . . . :) :)!! But you win some, you lose some, and she's held in place easier than most.
As for Aather . . . She's a huge flight-risk, even moreso than canon. When she surfaces, everyone is going to flip out and wonder what the hell is going on, then she will plaster herself on Vincent and it will be really freaking awkward all around. As best as he can, Vincent will probably smooth over the situation with her team by explaining that she has that sort of, mm, affliction, and he looks after her as best he can despite it. It helps that he has Breeze around his finger, so the leader is pretty much covered, even if the rest of the team side-eyes what's going on. Echo would be . . . Difficult, but he could probably blackmail her with the fact that she can't control what Zwei is going to do, so if she wants to keep something really awful from happening . . . Well, she should just follow after Vincent's lead. ♥ He wouldn't mind using her to achieve some means in Aather, but the fact is that ever since he remembered the poisoning incident, he has known to act solo and not to trust other people to help him. So, Vincent really wouldn't be too open to working with her again, though he will certainly give her the impression that she is the greatest little helper he could ever have.
So, yes . . . No firm plans, just taking care of business as the need arises with the Zwei situation. HOW COMFORTING??
So, is Echo having team dere now? Also, what did Vincent say that was right and she wished that she had followed?
SHE IS HAVING TEAM DERE, YES!! Well. It's kind of faded since then because Echo has this thing for acting like she normally would after a set amount of time unless something/someone can get that previous feeling to resurface. So, she appreciates Turquoise a little bit more, but she isn't really going to act much different towards any of them. Still very critical of them! '-'
It also helps that Echo is kind of pretending everything she said during the Green Knight skill game has been long forgotten. That's... kind of helping with the dere, I guess. Which brings me to why Echo wished she followed Vincent's advice; his "be considerate" advice. When Echo dissed and talked down to the rest of Turquoise, she didn't realize how rude she was being at the time. She really didn't. It's not like she takes other people's feelings into account when she says things! In fact, it took her the rest of the day for her to actually realize this. Echo was just being honest, which is, now that I think about it, what people like Paul have been TELLING HER TO DO! It's also funny because he once berated her for her honest opinion and she had momentarily forgotten all about that. Whoops, bottling stuff isn't very helpful, is it.
Anyway, Echo has since fixed things up with Yayoi and Sakura, sort of. The bad thing is, I don't even know where she stands with Rolo, the only one who gave up on Echo right then and there. It's... probably been awkward at home? Because she apologized, but only for being honest about her negative thoughts on Turquoise.
AND THEN I REALIZED HOW CARRIED AWAY I WAS GETTING WITH MY RAMBLING. So, what are Vincent's top 3 favorites teams?
