...I'm not sure how to qualify bad for the Uchihas, considering how they are in canon. Even if full out incest ends up happening, Itachi isn't mindfucking Sasuke and Sasuke isn't trying to murder Itachi, so that's probably still good. In comparison.
I don't think it's possible for it to ever get as bad as it was in canon, because they are both committed to being honest and trying to work through things. Even if they aren't entirely healthy about it, they are trying. Things could get ugly if Itachi ends up dying in a game at some point, but I think that would cause more of a strain with Emerald than with Sasuke, over all. It still wouldn't be on the level of canon, I think. :'D
Does Vincent have any uses for Itachi or does he just find him amusing to have around?
He could have uses for Itachi, but there are so many problems with that situation that Vincent will likely never come near it. First off, Itachi is on a team which is not random incident to a knight and runs the risk of upsetting an entire team. If I recall correctly, Vincent even knows that KK was the one who put the team meeting together from way back when, so it's not like Emerald isn't a proactive team, either.
Then, Itachi can restrain himself! He is really rather adept at self-control, so Vincent knows that if he is going to piss someone off between him and Sasuke . . . Well, Vincent would rather gun for pissing off Itachi, because Sasuke is infinitely more likely to fly off the handle and make it a situation. Not that Itachi isn't terrifying in his own right and has extreme potentials to make a situation go rather badly, but Vincent likes minimized publicity and to be able to run damage control as he likes. If Itachi attacks him, he will be quiet and discrete, because it's between them whereas Sasuke could do it in right in the ring and create an entire scene.
So, that pretty much eliminates using Itachi on his own! Vincent prefers to use him as an accessory to deal with Sasuke and will often angle his actions and behaviors towards that end goal, rather than trying to cut any sort of deal between him and Itachi. Granted, that would change if Itachi seemed open at all to Vincent, because Vincent would enjoy having the pleasure of working with him and they could work really well together . . . But it's also much, much easier to go with the sibling that is more easily manipulated.
I am indulgent, sue me. What does Itachi know of Vincent's plans? And what does he think his goals are?
I'm not sure, actually. That is probably something we should discuss OOCly sometime. Itachi is a perceptive and intelligent character, but I'm kind of paranoid about info modding and the like. So, uh. What he knows depends on what you're okay with him knowing...? Also it's been awhile since they threaded about something relevant to that and I am OOCly less perceptive than Itachi is...so I would need to go back and review. :'Da
Though I can say at this point Itachi is only interested in Vincent's goals insofar as they concern Sasuke. He'd probably leave Vincent be if he wasn't all up in Sasuke's business. :|
So if Itachi were to open himself up to making a deal with Vincent, what would Vincent do with that? Do you have any idea, or would it depend on circumstances.
It is pretty circumstantial as how the deal comes about and how willing without being forced Itachi would be . . . Hmm, at the most, he would want Itachi to act as a counterbalance to keep Emerald from having it out for his team, if not him. After that, he would likely use Itachi for quests that involve others that he doesn't want publicly aired. Like the quest to heart-dive Three, Vincent had to pick people that wouldn't see/question that Vincent was absolutely lying to them about what he was questing for. Itachi is, of course, keen enough to put two and two together, so he would just leave it with Itachi knowing better than to make that realization public. Still, it's dicey to have someone that intelligent on board, so Sasuke is preferred once again.
In more relevant terms, considering their history, Vincent would definitely work with Itachi to minimize Sasuke getting himself into trouble. Rather than trying to actively use Itachi for something, he would be more willing to pander to what Itachi wants to do while lifting information and perspective for him. It would be another side to Aather and a set of eyes on the situation that Vincent really wouldn't mind. If there's anything that Vincent can never have enough of, it's information. So, that would probably be the most that would come of that situation.
We could bang out that information stuff here if you wanted? I can run over what Vincent has publicly done, then we can bat back and forth.
Let's see . . . Sasuke asked Itachi to help with the quest to heart-dive, iirc. Then, awhile later, they both showed up injured in the ring, so that might have been a tip off.
After that, Vincent hasn't particularly used Sasuke for much. He cut the deal to help him with his flipping out like a ninja, but I think Itachi heard about that.
Umm, the stabbing Alice when she was here was a pretty big issue and spread around town by a lot of people, so I wouldn't say that he couldn't have heard that.
And that's all that I can really recall that might have been pretty open press . . . Vincent has done some heart-game dickery that other people would have seen, but I don't think they're people related too strongly to Itachi.
Oh, okay, yes, I think Sasuke actually told Itachi most of the details about the heart-dive at some point. And he told Itachi he had a deal with Vincent that he needed to complete, but he didn't give him the details yet.
Sion told Itachi about what happened with Alice when Itachi asked him about Vincent, so yes he knows about that, definitely. :T
The Uchihas have decided to be honest with each other, though. :B Though I guess Sasuke didn't give him all the details of what happened, just how they were hurt, and why they did it in the first place.
Right after the heart-dive Itachi told Lloyd about what happened and asked if he knew anything about Vincent. He said he didn't know details, but Sion considered him dangerous. So Itachi talked to Sion. :') Sion told him about Alice, that Yuta hadn't trusted Vincent and that Vincent was involved with Yuri and that Cass was fond of him.
Other than that Sion was kind of evasive and didn't make any allegations. Though there was also a certain amount of saying one thing and meaning another in that thread, as I recall. Sion said something about things maybe being a misunderstanding and maybe it didn't mean anything at all, meaning he wasn't going to make accusations without proof. And Itachi was like "sure" meaning "so he's a sneaky bastard and can cover his tracks. Got it."
Hahaha, no, no~. I mean, he is a sneaky bastard that does cover his tracks, but it's different when you know it to be a truth and when others acknowledge it, especially when Itachi is so skillful in his own right . . . It's really a compliment to be thought of that way by him. ♥

Alright, that's not too much to bear in mind. WE ARE SUPER COOL.
