Words, words . . . Well, Oz gets a lot of help from the fact that C.C. has decided upon accepting those in Ruby as they are! While she may not enjoy him or his decisions more often than not, she has to show him the same consideration that she does everyone else in her mind. In that same breath, she doesn't expect him to change, so she's committed to work with him just as he is.

Oz has set a very strong precedents for C.C., though. She ran against him in her first game, and the selfishness that he showed also caused that rupture and conflict that came about. While she does intend to walk the middle ground, he showed her why that middle ground has to be found and how she would prefer to act within the team. Oz creates waves, C.C. rides them out. Also, she still carries a lot of low-burn resentment towards Peridot and especially Gilbert which is connected to Oz. She understands that he cares deeply about his servant, but she can't see herself acting the way Oz does Gilbert as she does to Lelouch; they are functional without encroaching upon each other. For C.C., she was wary of Peridot finding out her role in Lelouch's past and so on, but she also doesn't want to be seen as a second Oz within Ruby. So, she puts on a lot of airs in their direction, and she sniped at Lelouch a bit for making her come into Peridot.

Mm, the third point in the contract with Ruby point right at Oz, so he's involved with that. She will control herself in his direction, until she gets a better read on how to approach the situation, but she thinks diplomacy would be the best for the both of them.
