Wow, I am just going to write you everything. Enjoy that.
★ At the very beginning of the thread, Vincent was playing with a lighter. It was Gilbert's lighter, for the record. So, if you thought that I didn't sneak any brocon in at all . . . Well, silly you~.
★ Alright, dreams and mental landscape and all that is a very hilarious thing for Vincent. He has picked up and practiced working with that whole area since the very first heart game, so he has been at it for nearly two IC months. Even within his own mind, he is a fortress, so he can't tap in and tap out of his thoughts anymore. He's always running something in his head. It popped up in his heart game like I said, but after the first dream post where he was having a rather, mm, benign dream that Sasuke and Yuri showed up in . . . Well, he's stopped dreaming, per se. It's something like a cross between lucid dreaming, having a mental block on REM sleep, and letting Dormouse act like a sleep aid.
This isn't to say that he doesn't get lost or has full mastery of dreams yet. It's still an odd territory that he hasn't quite felt out, so he will slip a lot, like the bleeding ballroom, slipping into dream-logic without question, and the umbrellas that showed up. So, the dream threads really do run an almost Inception-logic where Vincent will have multiple personas and/or motives running at once that he has to try to focus on if he doesn't lay back and let them roll with it.
★ That said, he did appreciate getting a peek at Yuri in a more exposed form from his teenage years. ♥ It definitely gives a little insight to what Yuri wants and the act that he does put on. It's still somewhat like water, in that he can't quite get a hold on it, but Vincent can see the whole picture a little better. Remember, Vincent can't piss him off as much as he may try, so Yuri still has a fair bit of ground to stand on when it comes to Vincent.
However, the opera scene was . . . It was unplanned. It was a huge slip-up, and Vincent was more shocked that he did not keep control of himself, more than he was upset that Yuri saw something like that. Vincent is always waiting for the other shoe to drop with them, and he knows that to an extent Yuri should be pretty well aware that Vincent was never ever a good guy. It may have been a bit more graphic and less sophisticated than Vincent would prefer to share as those sorts of liaisons . . . Well, they weren't for anyone to know about to begin with. Still, Vincent has been ultra-focused on keeping people from prying into him in any form, emotionally, in his dreams, and even in his heart. So, that was really an uncool situation with the potential to go even worse! Oh, no!
Except Yuri was a good sport about the whole situation, and Vincent was more worked up than even he realized with how Yuri would react to it. See, Vincent may play cool that he can walk and not feel it, but Vincent also cuts off people's heads then realizes afterwards that he's upset because someone he loved died. This boy is not so good with his feelings! Time and again, Yuri has made it very clear where he stands on the issue, so Vincent will just . . . Keep letting him steam-roll his way along. He won't let him stop from indulging himself, believing what he'd like, and keep stringing Yuri along for this really horrible ride.
