The better question would be did Vincent care enough to try to figure it out? . . . The answer is no. No, he did not. As far as he can deduce, she is probably more loving and dere in his general direction, but if her team couldn't figure it out quickly then he's less likely to be able to put his finger on it. She's not a raving maniac trying to kill him, and he isn't really bothered by anything else that happens after that.

Frankly, he's rather . . . Complacent with Misato? They have a very casual relationship where they can pass time with each other easily enough. If they wanted, they could be more serious, but he sincerely doubts that she does and he really has his hands full as it is. So, it works simply as it is with them being passing friends. Really, they should go on a date and split a bottle of wine on the sand dunes and be responsible adults with the sheer simplicity of their relationship. He would not be opposed to that at all.

How messed up is she with the post-heart game stuff? Also, short love life summary.
